Campus Life At the U

Campus life at the University of Utah is as varied and diverse as the students who attend our campus. Campus life is what you make it, and it is unique for every student. We have several opportunities for you to get involved on campus, and you will find vibrant, engaging activities wherever you look. Spring semester 2009, look for the grand opening of the all new Student Involvement Center in the student union. Here’s what you’ll find!
Union Programming Council
The Union Programming Council is a student-based organization that was created to further a sense of community for students on campus within the student center, the A. Ray Olpin University Union. The UPC is responsible for programming events such as Crimson Nights, the largest late-night student programmed event in the nation. It also features community-based events such as Black Pumpkin Affair, Clothesline Project, and Date Night through the Community Service Board. The Arts and Special Events board is responsible for programming events that promote the artistic side of the students and reaches out to a broader audience through programs such as the monthly Gallery Stroll, Union Film Festival Series, and Oktoberfest. These events help create a comfortable atmosphere for students at the university to unwind and expand their horizons. Please visit the Web site www.upc.utah.edu for more information about upcoming events and how to get involved!
