The Bureau of Economic and Business Research (BEBR) is an applied research center in the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. BEBR interacts with both private and public entities, conducting independent studies and engaging in sponsored research.

The Hinckley Institute of Politics is dedicated to engaging students in governmental, civic, and political processes; promoting a better understanding and appreciationof politics; and training ethical and visionary students for service in the American political system. The Hinckley Institute of Politics places more than 300 students every year in internship opportunities, internationally, at the Utah and Alaska state legislatures, and in Washington, D.C. They also hold up to 60 Hinckley Forums per year in which ambassadors, elected officials, and scholars speak and coordinate student groups through the Hinckley Institute Student Alliance (HISA), offer a Minor in Campaign Management, and give out various scholarships and loans.
