![]() The U’s Center for High Performance Computing provides large-scale computer systems, networking, and the expertise to optimize the use of these high-end technologies. CHPC facilitates advances in academic disciplines whose computational requirements exceed the resources available in individual colleges or departments. - The U ranks 16th in significant awards to faculty, 31st in federal research funding, 42nd in total research dollars received, and 28th in the number of faculty who are National Academy members, according to the Lombardi Program on Measuring University Performance among the nation’s public research universities.
- The U received $325 million in research funding from all external sources in fiscal year 2008.
- The U is a national leader in technology transfer.
